Hello Tinus le Roux Having just come across your really great web page http://saafww2pilots3.yolasite.com/whelman.php, we immediately recognised a photo of my grandpa’s baby brother: Captain Gilbert Leonard McBride, who was killed over Sicily on 3 July 1943, aged 23. He is picture No 18: You have him – erroneously - as ‘RK Stephenson?’ In pic No 7 (one I have already) – you will see that he is the G.L.McBride who is second from the right at the back. This is him on my Family Tree: https://www.geni.com/people/Capt-Gilbert-Leonard-McBride/6000000005777351270 It was such a delight to see a full photo of his face staring out at us from the screen. My Grandpa remembered him all his life, but we only have 3 pics of him – and none of them as good as this one. Thank you so much for sharing it.
